I was lucky enough to just get back from a last-minute vacation to the Dominican Republic with my dear friend, Kara. We planned the trip about two weeks before we left & it was perfect! We stayed at an amazing resort on the beach near Puerto Plata. We spent our days lying by the infinity pool, lying by the beach, exploring the city, drinking tasty rum, drinking the national beer - Presidente, buying souvenirs & eating delicious food. It was utterly relaxing, but we really didn't see much of the DR. It was just what we were looking for, though. And the parts that we did see were so beautiful, so green, and it was so nice & warm. We met so many lovely & interesting people, but I really wished that my Spanish was better. Now I'm back & gotta find a job...
